Vice President of Business Development – Defense Systems Sector

Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Del Beilstein is Vice President of Business Development for the Defense Systems Sector of BlueHalo. Coming from an extensive military and commercial background, he brings the company deep insight and awareness of the technology solutions needed by government and corporate partners, and a genuine interest in ensuring their mission-focused goals are met. His career experience has culminated in an enriched approach to overseeing the marketing, sales and proposal activity for BlueHalo’s high-end engineering services and innovative products.

Del came to BlueHalo through its acquisition of The AEgis Technologies Group (AEgis), where he served as Director of Business Development for 7 years and as AEgis’ Vice President of Business Development for 4 years. Prior to AEgis, he spent 21 years serving in the United States Army as an Aviation and Simulation Operations Officer. He began his Army career as an Aviation Officer and served in a variety of command, primary staff and leadership positions in Air Cavalry Troops, Division Cavalry Squadrons, and Combat Aviation Brigades. After graduating from the Army’s Command and General Staff College, Del deployed to Iraq serving as the Deputy Chief of Operations for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Multinational Division North. After returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was assigned as the Deputy Director of Simulation for Army Aviation where he provided leadership to the directorate’s key programs, including Flight School XXI, Aviation Training Exercises, and Army Flight Simulator Accreditation worldwide.

Del earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toledo and a Master of Science in Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulation (MoVES) from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He also earned a Certificate of Business Excellence from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
