ATA Awarded Contract in Support of the Space Hub Integrated End Cryptographic Unit Leading Edge Development Program

ALBUQUERQUE, NM —

Applied Technology Associates (ATA) has been awarded a contract from L3Harris Technologies to support the U.S. Air Force for the secure transfer of Protected Tactical Satellite Communications (PTS) payload mission data under the Space Hub Integrated End Cryptographic Unit (ECU) Leading Edge Development (SHIELD) Program.

The objective of the program is to design, develop, and integrate an ECU into the PTS payload that will demonstrate on-orbit capabilities in an operational setting.

The U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center made the award to L3Harris through the Space Enterprise Consortium, managed by Advanced Technology International.
