BlueHalo Recognized on Fast Company’s 2023 List of 100 Best Workplaces for Innovators

BlueHalo Joins Adobe, Spotify, John Hopkins APL and others

ARLINGTON, VAFast Company this week announced its fifth annual Best Workplaces for Innovatorslist, honoring organizations and businesses that demonstrate an inspiring commitment to encourage and develop innovation at all levels. BlueHalo ranked 27 out of the top 100 workplaces recognized by Fast Company.

Launched in 2019, BlueHalo is quickly building a reputation as an enduring, disruptive defense technology platform delivering critical solutions across multiple domains. This culture of innovation permeates BlueHalo’s extensive portfolio of mission-based products, including its LOCUST Directed Energy laser weapon system and other layered counter-UAS (C-UAS) solutions, like Titan and Skyview–the company’s artificial intelligence and machine-learning powered Radio Frequency (RF) C-UAS offerings. BlueHalo is also innovating space communications through products such as BADGER, its next-generation, phased-array satellite operations system utilizing proprietary multi-band software defined antenna (MSDA) technology.

“BlueHalo has been built into the perfect combination of innovation and disruption combined with mission understanding and knowhow to deliver at scale. This focus is transforming defense technology and fielding innovation to reestablish our Nation’s national security posture by delivering a ring of protection around those who need it most,” said Jonathan Moneymaker, BlueHalo Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud that Fast Company has recognized BlueHalo among such an incredible list of innovation powerhouses. All credit goes to our team, whose ingenuity is developing next-generation solutions for our warfighters today.”

Innovation is at the core of BlueHalo’s culture, delivering next-generation technologies to our customers at mission speed.  That innovation is directly supported through investment, employee-focused programs, training, and recognition. BlueHalo has invested significantly behind employee driven ideas helping those ideas become first prototypes and then critical products serving as that protective ring for our customers. The company formed a Science & Technology Council, which hosts training and educational events to promote discussion and knowledge sharing in order to support innovators through funding and mentorship as they transition ideas to solutions. Further, the BlueHalo CEO Innovation Award recognizes teams across the company for their innovative technological advances and business approaches that have had a fundamental impact for their customers. These programs celebrate the incredible technologies our employees get to work with and operate in tandem with competitive pay and benefits, awards, and a curiosity led culture supporting critical missions to recruit the industry’s top workforce.

“BlueHalo is an innovation engine driven in part, by our focus on excellence in program execution, investments in internal research and development, and support and recognition of our innovators,” said Dr. Vikram Manikonda, BlueHalo Chief Technology Officer and head of the BlueHalo Science & Technology Council. “Thank you to Fast Company, not only for this honor but for this opportunity to recognize our incredible innovators and their contributions to BlueHalo.”
