BlueHalo Selected by NGA to Provide Worldwide Economic, Environmental and Geopolitical Activity Data with $200M Luno B IDIQ

ARLINGTON, VA — BlueHalo, the company transforming the future of global defense through innovative imagery intelligence analysis, announced today that it has been selected by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) as one of the vendors to deliver geospatial data that enables analysts to gain data-quantified insight into worldwide economic, environmental, and geopolitical activity.

Luno B, a $200 million five-year indefinite quantity contract (IDIQ), will transform NGA’s approach to geospatial information and knowledge, expand access to data and services for the NSG, accelerate modernization objectives, and integrate data and services into enterprise capabilities.

“BlueHalo possesses extraordinary expertise in acquiring, analyzing, and visualizing multiple data sets — to include open source and commercially available data,” said Brian Morrison, BlueHalo Portfolio President and Corporate Executive Vice President. “By expanding and deepening our cooperation with NGA through Luno B, we’re coupling that expertise with capabilities in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision to provide unparalleled analysis–equipping our warfighters, policymakers, and mission partners with the decision advantage.”

Under the scope of the contract, BlueHalo will employ traditional and non-traditional source data — including Electro-Optical (EO) imagery, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), open-source intelligence (OSINT), and commercially available data sets — to enhance the government’s understanding of the human domain. This includes persistent and time-dominant area monitoring capabilities to provide key insights into the activities of humans and their impact on the environment. In addition, the company will support the identification, monitoring, tracking, predicting, and analysis of Illegal, Unregulated, and Unreported (IUU) activities, including the exploitation of natural resources, trafficking of humans and contraband goods, or intentional interference with the safety of navigation in the space, maritime, and other domains.

In 2024, NGA awarded BlueHalo Luno A, a five-year IDIQ to manage commercially purchased unclassified geospatial data and accelerate analytic workflows through machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
