Vikram Manikonda, Ph.D

Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Vikram Manikonda spearheads cross-sector collaboration, leading efforts to define the vision and path to execution for technology development across BlueHalo’s Defense, Intelligence, and BlueHalo Labs sectors.  He leads BlueHalo’s Science & Technology Council as well as steers the company’s Investments and Independent Research and Development (IRAD) programs to accelerate capabilities to mission and mitigate customer risk. In addition, Vikram continually engages with partners and customers to support the company’s long-term technical strategic planning.

Prior to joining BlueHalo, Vikram was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Intelligent Automation, Inc’s (IAI’s), where he was responsible for IAI’s day-to-day-operations, as well as leading the company’s research and product development strategy. At IAI, he played an instrumental role in developing the company’s world-class research and product portfolio and building the business areas of robotics and control, motion description languages, multi-agent systems, modeling and simulation, and air traffic management.

Vikram received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Maryland at College Park. Vikram is the recipient of the University of Maryland Clark School, Glenn L. Martin Medal, and is currently on the Board of Visitors for the University of Maryland, James A. Clark School of Engineering.  He has also served as the Chair of the Strategic Advisory Council for Institute for Systems Research at the University of Maryland, and was a founder, investor and on the Board of Directors at Cryptonite, LLC.
