The safety and well-being of our employees and their families has been and will remain our top priority as we closely monitor COVID-19 and the ongoing impacts to our business operations. We understand that this is a fluid situation and our crossfunctional COVID-19 task force is continually monitoring the landscape every day with stated goals of preventing/reducing transmission among our employees, maintaining business operations, and minimizing impact to our customers.
Early preparation is the key to ensuring the stability and strength of our Company. We were able to anticipate industry needs allowing us to equip our employees with essential equipment, tools, and information to minimize or eliminate loss of service to our customers and enable our employees to continue working as needed, where needed. We continue to evaluate the situation and maintain constant communication with AEgis staff and customers, identifying potential issues, and leveraging innovation and accommodation to remedy them.
Innovation & Accommodation to minimize COVID-19 Impact
AEgis has locations spanning the United States as well as teams that provide support internationally, so collaboration beyond a centralized office is a concept we’re already intimately familiar with. With key resources such as voice & video teleconferencing services, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, and other collaborative tools already in place, enabling and promoting telework whenever possible to combat the spread of COVID-19 is a logical & safe solution. To supplement systems already in place, our IT team has worked diligently to ensure that our infrastructure can efficiently support a remote workforce.
For those employees that are unable to work from home due to the nature of support they provide, we’ve set up AEgis offices as homesites to provide them a more isolated work location. Updated facility cleaning procedures have been implemented which ensure that all common areas and frequently touched surfaces are regularly disinfected. Additionally, we are providing hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes & sprays where supplies are available.
As of now, the majority of our workforce is successfully teleworking, meeting our commitments for delivering capability to our customers and our Nation while minimizing risk for themselves and their families.
Taking care of AEgis Employees and Protecting our Community
Our primary concern as we try to mitigate the COVID-19 impact is simple: the safety and wellbeing of the AEgis family – all of our employees and their families.
Our COVID-19 task force continues to meet daily, allowing us to quickly adapt to an ever-changing landscape and provide clear, transparent, and timely communication to our employees. To further facilitate comprehensive communication, we set up an internal site as a consolidated source. There, our employees can find real-time information including AEgis’ evolving response to COVID-19, resources to help determine risk of infection, guides for communication/telework tools, and tips for working at home.
Protecting our AEgis family also extends to our community – specifically, the dedicated healthcare staff working tirelessly to provide care to those suffering from COVID-19. It’s our duty to utilize our technology and capability to help any way we can because we owe it to each. 3D printed N95 masks are currently in production for distribution to community healthcare facilities to help extend the life of these essential supplies.
