James Batt has devoted his 30-year career to the Aerospace & Defense business and customer missions. He has successfully developed high performance teams as a program manager and held numerous leadership positions in Corporate Business Development and Strategy. His background spans across space and intelligence missions and he has contributed to many notable programs from the NASA Space Station, PNT, satcom, and military sensing systems, to national security intelligence solutions.
At BlueHalo, James has been responsible for overall corporate growth since 2020. He leads strategy and R&D investments for expanding the company’s Space, Directed Energy, Missile Defense, and Cyber & Intelligence capabilities through innovative services, products, and solutions. Prior to joining the company, James held executive leadership positions at CACI and Boeing successfully applying opportunity pipeline management, business case analysis, go-to-market strategies, competitive assessments, and M&A evaluations in order to achieve business growth goals.
James holds a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, is a graduate of Hypersonics Program, and earned a Master’s Certificate in Program Management from the George Washington University School of Business. He received a citation from the Motorola Scientific and Technical Society on 5Nines systems availability design and has also authored several papers on space system operations.
